Conservation Area Development
Building in conservation areas can be challenging but does not have to get in the way of ambitious and bold solutions.

The house is a deceptively small, mock tudor cottage on a prominent plot in a Cambridgeshire village. A delapidated garage split the garden and left a large but very public area to the front while the back of the house was a hotch potch of 20th century additions and poorly converted outbuildings.

Studio Hobohm re-planned the plot to incorporate a new double garage, re-locate the wood store and designed the 'shadow': a 2 storey side extension and green roof rear kitchen extension.

The work is currently in progress and when it is finished will achieve a first floor bathroom with 3 double bedrooms, new family room, utility room and large kitchen/dining room.
